    INSTRUMENT EXPLORERS - age 4.5 - 6 with a caregiver For children who have outgrown early childhood music classes, and are ALMOST READY for formal study. Getting ready to start an instrument, but not sure which one to choose? Students will meet* a different instrument each week (piano, violin, viola, cello, flute, harp and guitar), and have a chance to try each one. They will also experience concepts of musical language, and some very basic music theory, through hands-on games, singing, and listening activities - all of which prepare them for confident instrument study.     This four-session workshop is all about building skills for real-life and online conversationsโ€”especially with people whose life experiences or perspectives differ from your own. Together, weโ€™ll practice how to show up with curiosity and self-awareness, even when conversations feel uncomfortable or perspectives donโ€™t align. jamele adams, an educator, facilitator, and community peacemaker, will lead four in-person sessions where participants can practice empathetic listening, learn from one another, and build trust and connection.
